Spring/Summer 2025 Hair Color Trends I’m Obsessed With
I’ve been seeing so many shifts in what clients are asking for lately, and I’m actually loving where hair color is headed for spring and summer 2025. It’s soft, dimensional, and just the right amount of elevated.
Let’s talk trends.
1. Baby Blonde, but Make It Creamy
Forget icy white — this season is all about warmer, creamy blondes that still feel bright but lived-in. Think baby doll blonde meets French vanilla. I love pairing this with a subtle root melt to keep it low maintenance and soft around the face.
2. Expensive Brunette Is Still That Girl
Glossy, rich brunettes with ribbons of tone-on-tone dimension are staying strong. I’m doing a lot of chocolate and cinnamon hues with soft highlights that you don’t even realize are highlights — it’s all about that healthy, rich hair moment.
3. Golden Hour Reds
A lot of my clients are dipping into copper or strawberry territory, especially brunettes who want something playful but not full-on red. When done right, these tones reflect light beautifully and fade out in a really natural way.
4. Shadow Root Everything
Clients want color that lasts and grows out gracefully, so I’ve been doing a lot of seamless root shadows and low-maintenance glosses that refresh tone without a full lift every time. If you're not doing glosses every 6-8 weeks, we need to talk.
5. That Effortless Hair Texture
Not a color, but worth noting: the undone, soft-wave texture is still very in. I’ve been loving the Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray for that airy feel without the crunch. It gives body and movement, especially on freshly washed hair that’s feeling too soft.
Pro tip:
Every color looks better when the hair’s healthy — I’m constantly recommending the K18 Molecular Repair Hair Oilor Color Wow Dream Coat (depending on your texture) to seal the cuticle and keep the shine.
